Brick Repair/Replacement

Brick Repair/Replacement

Brick Repair / Replacement

Brick repair and replacement becomes necessary for any number of reasons including, freeze/thaw damage, structural movement, lightning damage, etc.  In most cases, the processs involves carefully removing the damaged unit(s) without damaging adjacent units, cleaning the void, and installing new or salvaged units to match the adjacent surfaces, including mortar color and tooling.

At Mid-Continental we stockpile bricks salvaged from older buildings, and we are familiar with a number of brick salvage companies.  Finding a replacement brick that closely matches the original is often an arduous task, but well worth the effort when a project is complete and the repaired areas are not noticeable.
