Caulking/Sealant Replacement

Caulking/Sealant Replacement

Caulking / Sealant Installation

The technology behind sealants/caulking materials has evolved tremendously, as has the use of sealants in construction.  Sealants are no longer just “goop in tube”.  Gone are the days of shooting goop in the crack, and licking your finger to tool it down.  Sealants now include urethanes, silicones, hybrids, pre-formed, pre-compressed, etc.  Understanding the chemistry of each is essential to the application procedures.

At Mid-Continental our workers are schooled on the various types and various application procedures for each.  Learning how to properly dry tool a sealant, and produce a watertight, uniform looking joint takes training and practice.

"We were very pleased with the top-notch quality of work & how quickly the work was completed. The supervisor & workmen displayed the best in professional courtesy in our communications with them. A+++!"
