Creek County Courthouse
Scope of Work
Mid-Continental Restoration was selected to restore and preserve the structural and aesthetic integrity of the courthouse. The scope of work included:
- Realigning stone units that had shifted over time
- Tuckpointing deteriorated mortar joints
- Replacing failing caulking
- Cleaning and sealing to protect the building envelope
Challenges and Solutions
Over the years, several stones had shifted out of place, creating potential hazards and impacting the building’s appearance. Mid-Continental’s crew, led by Site Foreman Matt Perez, carefully reset these stones to their original alignment using precision tools and techniques. The team also tackled aged, cracked mortar and sealants, removing damaged material and replacing it with new mortar and high-performance caulking to ensure water-tightness and durability.
