Skirvin Hotel

The Skirvin Hotel, a 14-story Art Deco marvel constructed in 1911, is currently undergoing a multifaceted restoration project that requires the use of specialized equipment. Utilizing a colossal crane with a remarkable reach longer than a football field and a lifting capacity of 300 tons, our crew efficiently transports materials to and from the hotel rooftop.

A crucial component of the operation involves the use of a skip pan, a substantial dumpster that is hoisted to collect concrete debris from demolition work. The intricacies of the restoration are further highlighted by the installation of 22 pallets of new coping stones, which are meticulously hoisted and placed on the roof. A swing stage is also utilized to conduct work on the building’s facade.

The successful execution of a project of this magnitude necessitates meticulous coordination and communication among our team members. Ensuring the safety and efficiency of the operation requires synchronized efforts, emphasizing the complexity and scale of the restoration endeavor at the historic Skirvin Hotel.
